American First Abstract Company was originally formed prior to the Land Run of 1889, when Mr. Owen and Mr. Welsh began their abstract business. Settlers staked their claim and filed for their Deed at the Land Title Office. In 1963, the successor company, American-First Title And Trust Company formed American First Abstract Company as a bonded and certified company in Cleveland County and the office on Comanche Street was opened by Clyde Edington, as the Manager.
American Land Title Association ALTA is the national trade association that represents and defends the title insurance industry. This association is responsible of improving the quality and business atmosphere of their members related to title insurance.
