Republic title, a wholly owned subsidiary of First American Title Insurance Company, evolved from Plano Title Company, the first full service, microfilm based title company in Collin County. Since 1965, they have expanded into Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Rockwall Counties, and have grown into one of the largest title insurance agencies in Texas. They currently have over 275 employees in 15 locations throughout Dallas and Collin Counties.
The Company is a licensed title insurance agency providing a full range of title insurance and closing services, with abstract plants in Dallas, Tarrant, Collin, Denton and Rockwall Counties, an escrow company, 1031 direct and reverses exchange intermediary companies and a computer software company.
Republic Title's Residential Division consists of 21 offices located throughout Dallas, Collin, Denton, Rockwall, and Tarrant Counties. Each residential office is staffed to close new home construction sales, residential resale’s and refinances of all types, as well as manufactured housing transactions.
In addition, Republic's Corporate Office in Plano Texas contains the Residential Processing Group, which consists of 180 employees, closers and specialized loan and escrow processors, residential refinance processing for the branch offices, corporate accounts for national account customers, providing interim loan closings, lot take downs for their volume builder clients. Residential Property Profiles are available to agents, lenders builders and the general public.
Republic Title supplies closing services, title insurance underwriting and claims processing, document preparation, tax information, consulting services, loss mitigation services, flood data, credit data, computer programming and curative title work to the general public, various governmental agencies and to many other title insurance companies.
