National Land Title was founded in 1972 by a Cleveland, Ohio attorney and title person who realized the need for a local service in the growing Midwest financial and real estate service sector. In April, 1999, the founding family sold National Land Title to Stewart Information Services Corporation, a New York Stock Exchange listed company.
Stewart provides title insurance and related services through more than 7,800 policy issuing offices and agencies in the United States and a number of international markets. Stewart delivers via e-commerce the services required for settlement by the real estate and mortgage industries. Stewart also provides post closing lender services, automated county clerk land records, property ownership mapping, geographic information systems, property information reports, flood certificates, document preparation, background checks and expertise in tax deferred exchanges. National Land Title Insurance Company is a technology driven, deliberately competitive real estate information and transaction Management Company providing title insurance and related information services. National Land Title has additional management offices in Arkansas which are responsible for policy accounting, claims management and general administrative functions. The Arkansas administrative office supplies agents with all insuring forms and supplies, processes all policies and billings and provides day-to-day assistance to their agents.
