Gray Insurance Company

Gray Insurance Company was founded in 1948 by Denver F. Gray. Denver Gray recognized that the insurance market needed an insurance program that could respond to the exposures of the offshore oil and gas industry with its overlapping combination of state and Federal jurisdictions and complex contractual arrangements. In response to this need, the firm developed a casualty package that combines coverage for General Liability, Automotive Liability and Workers Compensation under one program. The Gray Insurance Company grew out of these underwriting activities. The firm was incorporated under the laws of Louisiana and received its certificate of authority from the Louisiana State Department of Insurance in 1977.
The Gray Insurance Company offers a total program of insurance providing primary coverage’s for Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, Maritime Employers Liability. Their plan is a funded Self Insured Retention has been designed to provide the insured with an opportunity for maximum savings and protection. The primary policies provide statutory limits for workers compensation and 1,000,000 dollars for third-party liability. Also available in the program is excess liability coverage providing a limit of 4,000,000 dollars excess of the primary limits.  The primary policies are three-year policies reviewed on an annual basis.  The excess policy is a one-year policy.
Each insured is assigned a senior adjustor which provides a single source of contact. The adjustor is familiar with each claim and handles the claim from beginning to end.
