New Jersey Manufacturers Casualty Insurance Company was incorporated on June 7, 1913, and business began in two small rented rooms in the American Mechanic Building in Trenton. After its initial success and staff growth, the Company moved in 1920 to a Victorian residence at 175 West State Street.
New Jersey Casualty Insurance Company and New Jersey Indemnity Insurance Company, which are licensed to write virtually all property casualty coverage’s, began doing business in mid 1999. New Jersey Casualty currently is writing a small amount of business on behalf of the New Jersey Workers' Compensation Insurance Plan; New Jersey Indemnity is servicing policies written through the New Jersey Personal Automobile Insurance Plan.
NJM is one of the largest insurers of private residences in New Jersey, with more than 206,000 Homeowners, Condominium Owners, Renters and Dwelling policies in force as of December 31, 2004. The Company currently is paying Regular Dividends totaling 20 percent on contracts issued at this time last year.
New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company is one of the largest property casualty insurers in New Jersey. The Company is a direct writer, which means that their sales and underwriting services are provided directly to policyholders by salaried employees. NJM writes Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Personal Auto and Homeowners coverage’s, and has compiled an outstanding long term record of customer satisfaction.

The Company also writes Flood insurance on behalf of the Federal Emergency Management Agency's and National Flood Insurance Program. Additionally, The Company writes Personal Excess Liability Umbrella coverage for insured with both Auto and Homeowners coverage’s.
Insured’s with both auto and homeowners coverage through their Insurance Group may apply for personal umbrella liability insurance from New Jersey Re Insurance Company. Their Customer Service Department would be happy to provide you with information.
