In 1934, several Indiana Farm Bureau, Inc. directors determined the need to create an Indiana based company to provide affordable auto insurance to Hoosier farmers. So on October 17 of that year they founded the predecessor to the family of companies now known as Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
