Caradoc Delaware Mutual Insurance Company
The Caradoc Mutual Insurance Company was formed on June 28, 1884 in the village of Mt. Brydges, Ontario. The first president of the Company was Mr. William Young, who served until 1922. Over the years they have grown and expanded to meet the changing needs of their customers. Their offices are located at Adelaide Rd. in the village of Mt. Brydges. They support many community activities including sports, local fairs, Neighbourhood Watch, and Citizens on Patrol. Policyholders are encouraged to attend their Annual Meeting each March. In partnership with two other local Mutual Insurance Companies, they have a Financial Services Subsidiary in Strathroy, Ontario.
The firm is a true mutual, which means that each policyholder actually owns a portion of the company. Each year some of the board of directors are elected from amongst the policyholders. The board is responsible for ensuring that the management of the company follows the guidelines and directions that they have laid out for the operation of the company. Since they are service oriented, instead of profit oriented, when they have exceptional results, the board may decide to refund a portion of your insurance premium to you at the end of the financial year.

The firm is a member of the Farm Mutual Reinsurance Plan and the Fire Mutual Guarantee Fund. These organizations provide efficient access to reinsurance contracts and solvency protection which ensures that they are part of one of the strongest and most stable insurance organizations in the world.
Their product line includes insurance packages for homeowners, farmers and small businesses. As well, they are one of 47 members of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association who provide training, research, product development, and expertise to the members.
